UK: Five charged over 'web drug sale'

Friday 23 Apr 2004 Five people have been charged by police investigating the sale of illegal drugs over the internet. They were arrested in December during raids involving officers from Sussex and Hertfordshire working with the National Hi-Tech Crime Unit (NHTCU). Police believe customers were using a secure website to order drugs. The five, who come from addresses in Hertfordshire, London and Dorset, will appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Tuesday. Money laundering Sean Jackson, 36, of Brewhouse Hill, Wheathampstead, Herts, faces seven charges of being concerned with the supply of class B drugs, possession of cannabis, offering to supply a class A drug, three charges of money laundering and obtaining money by deception. Lisa Wilkinson, 34, from the same address, has been charged with money laundering. Mark Harris, aged 40, from Lockheart Street in London, faces charges of involvement in the supply of class B drugs, two counts of supplying cannabis and two counts of money laundering. Dominic Bolongaro, 31, also from Lockheart Street, has been charged with being concerned with the supply of class B drugs. David Harris, 39, of Brianstone Road in Bournemouth faces a charge of money laundering.
