UK: Zero Tolerance Of Drug Abuse

Saturday 29 Jan 2005 A SHERIFF at Dumfries has handed out a warning that he will deal severely with anyone encouraging youngsters to become involved in any way with drugs. Sheriff Kenneth Ross said that young people starting off by experimenting often ended up at addicts. And he jailed 36-year-old Ian Campbell, of Hallmeadow Place, Annan, for four months after being found guilty of allowing the premises to be used for smoking cannabis resin. He was also found guilty after trial of being concerned in the supplying of cannabis resin at his home between July and September. Campbell had denied the charges but admitted being in possession of cannabis resin in September.
