UK: Pro-cannabis conference

About 60 people attended a pro-cannabis political party's annual conference at
the weekend.

Twenty people put forward their names to stand in constituencies around the UK
at the event at the University of East Anglia.

Patricia Tabram, of Humshaugh in Northumberland, better known as Grandma Pat,
the outspoken pensioner who openly bakes cannabis, made a speech.

Press officer Don Barnard, who will be fighting for Norwich South MP Charles
Clarke's seat in the General Election, said: "I was enthused by the quality of
speeches. Not talking about cannabis is not going to stop the problem.
