The Legalise Cannabis alliance will be holding its seventh conference at the
University of East Anglia in Norwich next month.
Speakers will include Howard Marks (who was famously imprisoned for seven years
in the notorious Terre Haute Penitentiary, America for drug smuggling),
"Cannabis Gran" Pat Tabram and delegates and candidates from across
the country.
The event, on Saturday, March 18, will start at 1 am and finish at 8 pm, but
lunch will not be provided.
The morning session will consist of speeches, and the afternoon session, which
will start at 2.30 pm, will also include speeches, before opening up debates
with comments from the floor.
The evening entertainment will be provided by one of the UK's fastest growing
pro-cannabis bands from Worthing, Coffeeshop. After their premier performance
at the LCA Conference in Norwich last year, they have been inundated with
requests to play throughout Europe.
"The invitation to attend is open to all and in particular we would like
to see someone from the anti-cannabis brigade - they may learn something useful
for them," said Alun Buffry, the party's nominating officer.
Entrance is free, but donations of £6 or more will be welcome to cover costs.
