Multiple sclerosis sufferer Lezley Gibson, 40, of Alston, is Cumbria's
most prolific pro-cannabis campaigner.
She is making her first attempt to become an MP and lives with her
husband Mark, the party's candidate in Penrith and the Border, and their
18-year-old daughter. In 2001, Carlisle Crown Court cleared her of possessing
cannabis after hearing she used it to help her ailments. She is also standing for
the Morton Cumbria County Council seat.

Father-of-one Mark Gibson, 41, is making his second attempt to become MP
for Penrith and the Border after polling 870 votes in 2001.
He has lived in Alston, where he runs a new age gift shop, for 15 years.
He is also standing in the Cumbria County Council election for the Belah ward.

John Peacock, 39, is originally from Carlisle but now lives in Silloth with
his wife, five-year-old daughter, and two step-sons.
A self-employed hydroponist, he contested the seat in 2001, polling more
than 1,000 votes. He is also standing in the Belle Vue Cumbria County Council
ward.
