A
grandmother is fearing jail after being re-arrested for allegedly growing
cannabis plants.
Cannabis
campaigner Patricia Tabram, 66, was given a suspended prison sentence six
months ago following a conviction for possessing cannabis with intent to
supply.
The self-styled
cannabis granny says she is now on bail after the police took four cannabis
plants from a cupboard in her bedroom.
Mrs
Tabram, from Humshaugh, Northumberland, told Sky News that the plants were not
growing very well, but were about four feet tall.
"I've
been in shock since the policeman called with a warrant," she said.
"He
told me I'd definately go to prison this time."
Insisting
she needs the drug for medical reasons, Mrs Tabram says she has been told to
answer bail at Hexham Police station next Thursday.
Mrs
Tabram was convicted at Newcastle Crown Court, in April, after cooking meals
containing cannabis for elderly friends.
They
had put money into a kitty for the grandmother to buy the drug.
Northumbria Police refused to
confirm or deny that Mrs Tabram had been re-arrested.
